Prabhas starring Saaho movie review

After super hit of Bahubali, Prabhas has left the palaces and royal garments for T-shirts, swag and cargos in his latest action-thriller Saaho.Young dirrctor Sujeeth dicrect Saaho, which also features Shradha kapoor, Chunky Panday, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Jackie Shroff, hit the screens today. The film is made on an extravagant budget of Rs 350 crore and took two years to wrap up. Saaho's run-time of 170 minutes seems just as long, if not longer.
Written and directed by Sujeeth, Saaho is the sort of film that pretends to be smarter than it actually is. It has a convoluted plot that’s crammed with twists and turns, and secret identities and big reveals. Yet, when stripped to the bone, it’s ridiculously silly. Jackie Shroff plays Roy, the head of a crime syndicate in a fictional land named Waaji, who is killed the very night he lands in India. Let’s just say the issue of his successor is a complex one. Closer home, meanwhile, the Mumbai police force’s star attraction Ashok (Prabhas) has been tasked with ferreting out a mysterious figure known only as Shadow (and played by Neil Nitin Mukesh), who’s believed to be the brain behind an ingenious theft of Rs 2,000 crores.
Story-
During the same time, huge money is robbed from Devaraj(Chunkey Pandey) who runs the opposite gang. p Ashok(Prabhas) to crack this case.  What role does Ashok play in this setup?. To know this, you have to watch the film on the big screen.
The first half deals with Ashok's investigation into the robbery (which ensues through an amateurish setup involving unassuming people). Ashok doesn't seem interested in the investigation as much as he spends time posturing through needless fights. His co-worker in the operation, Amritha Nair (played by Shraddha Kapoor) appears smart at first, only to get condescended by our hero. The film gets distracted with its flabby writing that throws undue spotlight on its lead.
